Remote Client Copy in SAP

How to Perform a Remote Client Copy in SAP Using RFC: A Step-by-Step Guide

Performing a remote client copy in SAP is a critical task for system administrators, especially when managing multiple environments. This guide will walk you through the process of copying a client from one SAP system to another using Remote Function Call (RFC). Specifically, we’ll focus on copying the client Development_V01 (Client Number 600) from version01 (SID V01) to Development_V03 (Client Number 999) in version03 (SID V03) with the SAP_ALL profile.

Prerequisites

Before proceeding, ensure you have the following:

  1. SAP System Access: Administrative access to both the source (version01, SID V01) and target (version03, SID V03) SAP systems.
  2. RFC Connection: Ensure that the RFC connection between the two systems is configured and operational.

Steps for Remote Client Copy

Step 1 Set Up the RFC Connection
